The Trouble with “Tanglers”! Recycling Plastic Bags & Film

On July 25, the Chelmsford Public Library sponsored an online event, The Trouble with “Tanglers”! Recycling Plastic Bags & Film, by Rebecca Gore, a long-time member of the Chelmsford Recycling Committee. Residents learned how to participate in Chelmsford’s “Bags to Benches” challenge to collect 500 pounds of plastic bags and film within 6 months. We found out what sort of plastic can be recycled into a lovely new bench for the Town of Chelmsford! (Hint: it’s the same plastic that can be dropped off at grocery stores.)
