Compost Bin SALE: Every Spring, the Town of Chelmsford partners with a vendor to offer compost bins and rain barrels to residents at a subsidized rate. Composting at your home is easy and a great way to divert food waste from the trash. Collecting rain water run-off from the impervious surface of your roof to water plants, grass and gardens is an easy way to reduce your water and sewer bill! You can pre-order online and pick up at the DPW. The compost bins are made of heavy duty black recycled plastic. They are animal proof, easy to assemble and use, and a great ongoing science project for the kids!
